Nadi Sodhana in Sanskrit means "purification of the Nadis." The Nadis are energy channels through which life force energy, flows to energetic hubs in the body, called “chakras.”
Nadi Sodahana breath balances both hemispheres of your brain, creating
a sense of harmony and well-being, while balancing mind and emotion. This breathing technique
helps relieve headaches, cleanses the nasal passages, supplies the blood with rich,
oxygenated blood, calms and purifies the nerves. It’s a great breathing technique for mothers who
have a cold or experience plugged nasal passages due to the swelling of sinus tissue during pregnancy.
