Recent Testimonials

I was looking for a new way of movement during my late stages of pregnancy, as an aerial instructor I felt like my pregnant body had taken movement and my fitness away from me. I just couldn't achieve the things I once could. That's when I found Jadine. I had a month trial of the prenatal online yoga package and absolutely loved it. It gave me a reason to move my body & stay strong all whilst knowing that what I was doing was completely safe for both me & baby. I was also pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use the website & follow the videos. As I had never practiced yoga before the different options were a godsend, and the breathing tutorial was very much appreciated to help me relax and destress during the difficult days that we all have. I would 100% recommend any pregnant woman to give this a go, you won't regret it!

What is your Current Challenge?

Body Discomforts

Back Pain

When you become pregnant, your body changes. The alignment can change and with these changes can create muscle weakness and tightness. Your back pain could simply be from your change in posture, yoga brings your awareness to the postural changes and supports you in correcting it.

Pelvic Girdle Pain

60-70% of women experience pain in their pelvic region by their third trimester. Pain can influence the way you hold your body, how you breath and your ability to stay active throughout your pregnancy.

If you are in pain, yoga can help you maintain movement with modifications to the poses and maintain your postural alignment. Infusions of yoga breathing techniques can help calm your nervous system.

Leg Cramps

One class a week can help relieve your leg cramps. All poses stretch and release tension in your muscles, plus you will learn which poses focuses on stretching your calves so you can practise them whenever you need to. Simple stretches and movement go a long way with relief.

Upper Back and Shoulder Rounding

As you journey further into your pregnancy, your breasts become heavier and this creates a rounding through your upper back and shoulders. Stiffness and tension arise in this area. There are many stretches and poses in the Prenatal Yoga classes that focus on opening your shoulders and strengthening the muscles that have began to weaken. With focus on stretching your upper back and opening your shoulders you will find relief for your tension.

Fatigue

Fatigue is natural to feel, especially as you enter into your third trimester. Not all yoga classes require lots of energy. For those mamas in the third trimester we focus more on breathing and mindfulness with very gentle and slow movements to keep you moving, calm and internally balanced as you approach your due date.

Getting to know and understand your body through yoga is powerful and taking action to connect with and relieve your discomforts is stepping in the direction of self-love.

Uncomfortable in your Changing Body

Pregnancy can be beautiful and exciting, you will also experience some uncomfortable changes. Your hormonal balance shifts which can create some emotional roller coasters. As baby grows your belly grows, posture changes, pressure is on your pelvic floor and more. As a result of all these changes, you may not feel that so called pregnancy GLOW, you may actually feel the opposite.

.

Can you accept your body’s changes? Is there resistance, resentment and/or fear? Impatience can arise where all you can think about is how much longer you have left until your due date.

With impatience and resistance comes a drain in your energy. It shifts your experience into an unenjoyable one. Have you thought about connecting to ways that help you focus on loving yourself as you are, and finding relief with your body changes?

There are ways to connect with self love, to ease your impatience and frustration. Yoga covers all aspects of you. It relieves your physical discomforts, calms your mental tension and emotional imbalances. Infusions of philosophy support your self love journey. Mindfulness strengthens your presence and awareness of your body cycles, emotional cycles and which foods your body enjoys. Trust that with time your baby will birth into this world and your body will find it’s balance again.

Fear of Childbirth

Are you feeling fearful about the unknown of your labour & delivery? Fearful of how painful it will be?

Close your eyes, take a breath in, exhale out through your mouth. Ask yourself "Do I trust my body’s ability to birth?"

If your answer is no. The focus shall be on ways to establish your trust, build a strong relationship with your body. Trust her and work with her as a team. She will support you if you let her.

Yoga builds your mind body connection, prenatal yoga provides you with knowledge about your pregnant body and ways to manage the powerful sensations of child birth. Listen to the positive birthing experiences from the people in your life. Surround yourself with people in support of you intending for a positive birth experience. Building a connection with your body builds trust and TRUST overpowers FEAR.

The Unknown of Motherhood

A woman becomes a mother. That is a powerful transition that comes with excitement, love and joy. With any transition, the unknown is present and with the unknown can come fears and expectations. When you give birth to your newborn, you are also giving birth to a new version of yourself. The mother in you comes alive! Fears may become louder in your mind, “Will I be a good mother?” “ Am I ready for this?” “ Can I really do this?”

Fearing the changes that are to come, are natural. There is a desire to know that everything will be okay, that you will feel supported without expectation and understood without judgment. That you will be an amazing mother! As you navigate your journey into motherhood and create a bond with your beautiful baby, remember to hold space and love for yourself when your fears speak loudly in your mind.

Become present for yourself and your emotions with a meditation practise, even if you only have 5 minutes. Connect with what you feel will help you create a loving relationship with your new self.
